1953-1963 AC Ace Project

We are delighted to bring this unique build to market. We were approached by the current owner, who had discovered a period-built tojeiro-designed AC ladder chassis in Europe. It was an unusual find on the continent, as it had AC engine mounts with right-hand drive steering bracketry. This is where the AC Heritage works were entrusted to fit a supplied aluminium body to the chassis. The steel superstructure was manufactured to the original specification. During this time, we sourced all the period-correct suspension, drivetrain, engine, and gearbox for the project.

This historically accurate recreation has the following specifications:
- original unnumbered AC/ladder chassis
- aluminium bodywork
- body panels to correct specification (steel frame cladded and wrapped with aluminium panel work)
- aluminium inner panels
- original flat windscreen
- period correct transverse leafspring suspension with alfin drum brakes
- period correct steering system (steering box, quadrant and arms)
- period correct fuel tank with tank strap brackets
- 16 inch road wheels
- two Litre AC engine for rebuild (UMB series)
- rebuilt carburettors
- AC Moss Manual gearbox
- various brightwork (badges, overriders, wheel spinners, boot lock, bonnet toilet seats)
- various lights (P700 headlights new, rear lights, number plate light)
- original AC pedal box setup(arms, pedals, master cylinders)

A fantastic candidate for a period-correct recreation of the AC Ace with original Thames Ditton lineage. Alternatively, it would be a suitable candidate for a FIA race car.
